Attending International workshops /Festivals
- Baul Music marked its presence in the London Cultural circuit with a 10 day tour of four Baul Fakirs alongwith a team of banglanatak to the United Kingdom as part of attending International Workshops and Festivals from March 16-28, 2010. The visit of these Baul Fakirs opened up vast new exchange of folk ideas and forms that translated into an immense interest in this indigenous folk form and instigated an interest amongst the European audience as well as the Asian population of this part of the Globe.
- The Bauls performed at IICTD ,at the London Metropolitan University ,
- They also performed at the School of African and Oriental Studies (SOAS).
- The Bauls also performed at the Asian Music Circuit of London. Performance at Magda Fabianczyk’s place.
- At the London Ananda Utsav, the Bauls performed before an audience of 3000 and their performance sparked a lot of interest among them so as to enquire about bringing them for annual Bengali Festival of Durga Puja.
- At Liverpool, they performed at the MilapFest organized by Dr.Prakash Nayak of Liverpool Hope University.
- At Dundee College International night, the Bauls performed before an audience comprising of people from various international projects.
- Visit to China: A team of 5 folk artists from Kolkata and one Patachitra artist participated in the 6th China International Cultural Industries Fair held between 12th to 18th May,2010.
