areas to mobilise community led action against human trafficking.

rural, semi urban and urban areas to improve awareness on HIV/AIDS,
build risk perception and inculcate safe and responsible sexual
behaviour. |

| We have undertaken campaigns
on safe motherhood, immunization, sanitation and prevention
of diseases. |

| Bio Conservation |
 |
| Campaigns have been held to mobilise
forest fringe communities in West Bengal to protect bio-diversity.
Villagers in Sundarban were made aware of sustainable livelihoods.
In other forest areas, a key goal was to reduce man-elephant
conflict (during raids by elephant). |

| Street theatre shows built
awareness on consumer rights and the Consumer Protection Act.. |

We, at banglanatak.com,
specialise in social sector communication and community mobilization
using innovative and creative culture based approach. We use Theatre
in Development (TiD) methodologies.
We physically reach out to the people, build mass awareness through
edu-tainment and mobilise people to build a better tomorrow.
We build capacity at grass root level through training of peer groups
in behaviour change communication and development of leadership,
self management and communication skills.

Social Communication:
Awareness Campaign and Community Mobilization |
| Innovative, interesting, entertaining
and direct communication techniques like Street Theatre Shows
incorporating local folk forms and dialect, Talking Doll (ventriloquism)
are used to build awareness on issues ranging from health and
hygiene, environment, bio-conservation to rights and opportunities
for improving lifestyle and living conditions. We have worked
amongst diverse linguistic, cultural, religious and demographic
groups of people in different parts of India. |

use innovative theatre and culture based approach to build capacity
to initiate & manage change and develop local leadership
