Trafficking In Person
We are working in vulnerable areas to mobilise community led action against human trafficking.

HIV/AIDS
We have worked with Port workers, CSWs, Migrant Labourers, Truck Drivers and ordinary people in rural, semi urban and urban areas to improve awareness on HIV/AIDS, build risk perception and inculcate safe and responsible sexual behaviour.

Community Health
We have undertaken campaigns on safe motherhood, immunization, sanitation and prevention of diseases.

Bio Conservation
Campaigns have been held to mobilise forest fringe communities in West Bengal to protect bio-diversity. Villagers in Sundarban were made aware of sustainable livelihoods. In other forest areas, a key goal was to reduce man-elephant conflict (during raids by elephant).

Consumer Rights
Street theatre shows built awareness on consumer rights and the Consumer Protection Act..

We, at banglanatak.com, specialise in social sector communication and community mobilization using innovative and creative culture based approach. We use Theatre in Development (TiD) methodologies.

We physically reach out to the people, build mass awareness through edu-tainment and mobilise people to build a better tomorrow.

We build capacity at grass root level through training of peer groups in behaviour change communication and development of leadership, self management and communication skills.

WHAT WE DO?

Social Communication:
Awareness Campaign and Community Mobilization
Innovative, interesting, entertaining and direct communication techniques like Street Theatre Shows incorporating local folk forms and dialect, Talking Doll (ventriloquism) are used to build awareness on issues ranging from health and hygiene, environment, bio-conservation to rights and opportunities for improving lifestyle and living conditions. We have worked amongst diverse linguistic, cultural, religious and demographic groups of people in different parts of India.
